We're Here

We are here, safe and sound.  We arrived right on time today and had a great flight.  When we got here, Denise's girls, Makenzie and Morgyn were SO happy to see us.  Morgyn nearly knocked me over in the airport when she came running.  We came home to the Anderson's, had tacos for dinner and just hung out.  We have a little bit of unpacking/repacking to do.  Tomorrow we leave for Punta Cana.  I am not sure what our internet access will be like there, so there may not be many updates for the next few days, but check back!  On Tuesday on our way home from Punta Cana we are visiting a project with 70 children.  I asked Denise if this was the Haitian district project that she had told me about where there is extreme poverty.  She looked at me with wide eyes and said "oh yes, poverty city."  So, I am sure we will be leaving there on Tuesday with our heads spinning a little bit.  On Tuesday we are also visiting the project where the 22 women will be graduating (see previous post).  Then, on Thursday we will return to the project in the Haitian district.  We have 250 pounds of supplies for this project and we are not able to take it all with us on Tuesday.  We just won't have the room in the car coming home from Punta Cana--it is already going to look like a clown car without the 250 pounds of stuff.  We are taking a few things, and then will return on Thursday with the rest of the supplies.  We're excited to see the children at these programs!  I am having some difficulties with uploading pictures, because I am on an Apple computer and am just not used to it.  But, hopefully by Tuesday I will have it figured out to post pictures of the kids.  If not, I can upload them when we are home.  Mak and Morgyn are downstaires with Nicole--they love her (what's not to love :)  I am pretty much old news since I have been here twice already!  Thanks for reading and checking in on us.  We will update again soon!

Glad to see that you guys got there okay. Sounds like you're all having a blast so far. Enjoy Punta Cana!
